Proportion refers to a proportionality that relates to various factors. Proportion is often equated with aesthetics and harmony. Which is to say that various proportion doctrines, such as the "Golden Section" or Le Corbusier's "Modulor", and the resulting proportionalities are pleasing to the eye of the beholder.
"In my installation "proportions" I use five rods with always the same volume. Interesting is the change of the individual parts to each other, it changes our perception and the meaning of the individual object!"
